Compiled from the official GRAMMY.com list and reporting by NPR, Consequence and Remezcla, checked on 1 October 2026.

Songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera leads the nominations for the 27th Latin Grammy Awards with ten, the Latin Recording Academy announced on 16 September. Karol G, Rosalía, the Argentine duo CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, and Jorge Drexler follow with seven each. The awards cover 60 categories, for music released between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026.

The race for album of the year

Ten records are up for the top prize: Anitta's EQUILIBRIVM, CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso's Free Spirits, Jorge Drexler's Taracá, Silvana Estrada's Vendrán Suaves Lluvias, Karol G's Tropicoqueta, Mon Laferte's Femme Fatale, Carín León's Muda, Milo J's La Vida Era Más Corta, Rawayana's ¿Dónde Es El After? and Rosalía's Lux.

Barrera's ten nominations, which NPR and Remezcla break down as two each for album and song of the year and three for best regional song, mirror his total last year; he already has 29 Latin Grammys. One of his song of the year nominations is "Mi Gran Amor" by Santana and Becky G, which he wrote and produced and which NPR and Consequence describe as an anti-ICE song. Milo J, who is 19, picked up five nominations, including album, song and record of the year.

New names, famous surnames

Best new artist has eleven nominees this year, among them Macario Martínez, Aria Vega, Delilah and maye. Two stand out for their families: Zeca Veloso and Loulu Gilberto, whom NPR notes are the children of Brazilian greats Caetano Veloso and João Gilberto. Elsewhere, Karol G and Feid share a best reggaeton performance nomination for "Verano Rosa".

Last year, and what comes next

At the 2025 ceremony, Bad Bunny won album of the year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS on his way to five awards, and CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso also took home five after ten nominations. This year's final round of voting runs from 1 to 12 October, and the ceremony takes place on Thursday 12 November at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, broadcast live on Univision.

Closer to home, Indonesia's own awards season is under way too: see the AMI Awards 2026 nominations.
