Albums expected in 2027, and what artists have actually said
Some of these have a date. Some are one sentence in an interview. We've sorted them by how solid they are.

Look past December and the release calendar starts to blur into wishful thinking. To keep this useful, we have only included albums that the artists themselves, or their labels, have talked about on the record, and we have been clear about how firm each one is.
One with a date
Only one of these has an actual release date. Death From Above 1979 announced Private Lives in late September: ten tracks on Last Gang/MNRK, out 29 January 2027 and led by the title track, followed by a 30-date North American tour from 2 February to 31 March.
Confirmed, but undated
Björk and Bruce Dickinson have both said plainly that a new album is coming in 2027. Björk did it in April, while announcing Echolalia, a solar-eclipse event in Iceland: the final version of a song she previewed, she said, would appear on a new record next year.
Dickinson's is further along. The Iron Maiden singer recorded the follow-up to The Mandrake Project at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in January and February with producer Brendan Duffey, and in a video interview in August he described it as very heavy and largely standalone.
Still just talk
Then there are the albums fans want more than the bands have promised. In August, Slash told a Rolling Stone Australia podcast that Guns N' Roses are writing a lot, and that he hopes they will record once his next album with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators is finished; NME reported that one is due in February 2027. No Guns N' Roses album has a date, and the last one, Chinese Democracy, came out in 2008.
And on 28 September, Liam Gallagher posted on X that if Oasis's Live '27 tour goes well, the next conversation is about new music, adding that he could not see them touring again without it. It is the most encouraging thing anyone in the band has said on the subject, and it is still an if.
